Dedicated to Improving Veterinary Training & Animal Welfare Worldwide

Through our teaching projects, we aim to make a real and genuine difference to animal welfare in the countries that need it most.

Welcome to VetProjects International! We are an Australian-based social enterprise run by a talented team of vets and nurses dedicated to providing you an opportunity to develop your practical skills and confidence. Our training is largely based on building your surgery and anaesthetics skill whilst having a positive impact on the people and animals we operate in.
Since starting in 2015, we have continued to develop our practical, hands-on approach to teaching and are positive you’ll complete the program inspired and feeling positive about starting your career.

Furthermore, we believe that our approach to improving animal welfare is practical, sustainable and will allow us to have a genuine impact well into the future. Our team of experienced vets and vet nurses are enthusiastic and passionate about our upcoming projects.

So, get on board, improve your skills and help us make a real difference to the lives of animals and communities worldwide!

We aim to have a genuine and positive impact on the development of young veterinarians by providing a supportive teaching environment to help improve their basic surgical skills.
We intend to make a real and sustainable difference to the welfare of stray animals with particular focus on developing countries, where lack of resources and structure otherwise make this difficult.
We ultimately aim to improve the education of kids and communities about animal safety and welfare to encourage a stronger human-animal bond.
We aim to achieve our goals through an honest, caring and respectful approach.
For students, this means we take into account the skills and confidence levels of each individual student and work on a system of gentle nurturing and encouragement.
For the communities we work in, this means respecting cultural differences, customs and languages. We do not judge other traditions, instead look to learn from them and work to create positive links that will then enable us to improve welfare in a more effective way.
We promise to always run our projects in a manner consistent with our philosophy in order to achieve our mission. We take our position of teaching and providing veterinary care very seriously but do so with good nature and enthusiasm.
We intend to constantly develop and improve our approach and to this end, we are always open to feedback and ideas on how we can better achieve our goals.

“Basically I just wanted to thank you again for such an amazing experience in Thailand and for all the help and support you showed me while I was out there… I am back to being excited about being a vet and realised that quite often, when asked, I would go back to Thailand as to my reason why. I genuinely think your programme and the support you personally showed me is one of the reasons I have made it through this year of vet school. So yeah, thank you!” Lucy, UK Graduate
